Majlis Ulama Rohingya (MUR) has dispatched the attached media statement to all Malaysian and international media condemning the riots that is spreading in the Arakan area since 3 June 2012. The same statements have also been transmitted via email to the UN Secretary-General, Heads of States (through their Embassies/High Commissioners in Kuala Lumpur) as well as local and international NGOs. MUR has urged all Heads of States to request the United Nations Secretary-General to send an independent mission to Myanmar to investigate the terrible tragedy that has erupted in the Rakhine State between the two factions
